Whether you're chasing your first freestanding handstand or working towards a muscle-up, Hotel FitBCN offers Barcelona's only hotel-based calisthenics training area. Purpose-built with gymnastic rings, parallettes, pull-up bars, and padded handstand walls, our space is designed for bodyweight athletes who refuse to let travel interrupt their progression.
A Calisthenics Space Built for Progression
Our dedicated calisthenics area isn't an afterthought — it's a fully equipped training zone designed by calisthenics athletes. The space features Olympic-grade gymnastic rings at adjustable heights, professional parallettes in multiple sizes, a full set of pull-up and dip bars, and a padded wall section specifically designed for handstand practice and wall walks.
The flooring is high-density rubber with extra padding in the handstand zone, so you can train kick-ups, bail safely, and push your limits without worrying about hard surfaces. We've also installed mirrors along the training wall so you can check your handstand line and body alignment in real time — essential for progressing from wall-assisted to freestanding holds.
Handstand Coaching & Workshops
Our certified calisthenics coaches offer one-on-one handstand sessions tailored to your level. Complete beginners start with wrist preparation, hollow body conditioning, and wall-assisted holds. Intermediate athletes work on freestanding balance, shape correction, and press-to-handstand progressions. Advanced practitioners can focus on one-arm work, handstand walks, and transitions.
Weekly group workshops cover specific skills: Monday is handstand fundamentals, Wednesday focuses on ring work and muscle-ups, and Friday is dedicated to freestyle flow combining handstands, L-sits, and movement patterns. All sessions are capped at 6 participants to ensure quality coaching and personal attention.
Equipment for Every Skill Level
Parallettes — Low and high sets for L-sits, planche progressions, handstand push-ups, and V-sits. Both wooden and steel options available.
Gymnastic Rings — Olympic-grade wooden rings at adjustable heights for muscle-ups, front levers, back levers, ring dips, and ring handstands.
Pull-Up Station — Multiple grip widths and angles for strict pull-ups, weighted pull-ups, and front lever progressions.
Handstand Wall — Padded 3-meter wall section with floor mats for chest-to-wall holds, wall walks, and freestanding practice with a safe bail zone.
Resistance Bands — Full set for assisted muscle-ups, band-assisted handstand push-ups, and mobility work.

Tell us your goals at check-in and our coaches will design a training plan for your stay. Whether you're working on your first handstand hold, building towards a planche, or refining your muscle-up technique, we'll structure your sessions to maximize progress in the time you have.
We provide a training journal to track your holds, reps, and progressions throughout your stay. Many guests are surprised at how much they improve when they can train daily in a dedicated space with expert guidance — something that's hard to find in regular hotel gyms that focus on treadmills and dumbbells.
